The best known and most useful wiki is a vast, collectively written encyclopedia on the net, the
Wikipedia, with more than 1.6 million articles in the English version alone.
This particular wiki uses a set of php-scripts called
DokuWiki – the link will take you to a page with more information and links to the DokuWiki-website.
Editing pages, or just sections, and adding new ones is easy and does not require any familiarity with programming, as you can see from the
HowTo – if you click on the “Show pagesource”-button, you can see how this page was made. (Even the table of contents at the top is produced 'automagically'.)
Should this wiki start to get used widely, it will be worth changing the lay-out, using 'AC-colours', and so on.
